IKEA launches an economy hotel brand, Moxy with Marriott International, Inc. and plans to open 150 Moxy hotels around the world.

IKEA is a Swedish company registered in Sweden that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture (such as beds, chairs and desks), appliances and home accessories. However, today’s IKEA, the world's largest furniture retailer is no more than a company focus on designs and sells furniture. IKEA has announced to cooperate with Marriott to launch an economy hotel brand---Moxy. The first Moxy will locate in Milan Malpensa Airport Terminal II and open in September.The hotel with 162 guest rooms is in a gender-neutral color. Accommodation per night costs 79 euros (about $ 102).

IKEA plans to open 150 Moxy hotels around the world in the next 10 years. After the Milan, Moxy hotel will come into Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Oslo, Aberdeen and London.
