As a result of the regulations released by the governments, ten Chinese five-star hotels five abandon their “Stars” to face the strictly control on conference fees.

In recent years, all the central government and local governments begun to strictly control their conference fees, and even some local governments made regulations to limit the star levels of hotels where they chose to hold the conferences. In late September, three branches of central departments has jointly formulated a series of regulations to clear that 1st Class, 2nd class and 3rd class meeting should be hold in the hotels under four-star level.
