Best Western International is going to launch a new urban boutique brand and a hotel collection, Vib (pronounced “Vibe”) which will be “technology-centric”. The new brand, Vib (pronounced “Vibe”), will be “technology-centric,” said Best Western. A Vib hotel will have a large lobby with a media wall, a 700-square-foot relaxation area on the lobby mezzanine called the “Zen Zone,” gaming pods, smart TVs in guestrooms to stream on-demand content and LED mood lighting throughout the property. Best Western called Vib a “high-density concept that will be cost-effective to build and operate, making it an attractive option for owners and developers.” The new hotel collection will be called BW Premier. The properties will be bookable via the Best Western website but won’t be a part of the official Best Western membership. Each BW Premier hotel will be required to maintain a TripAdvisor rating of at least four dots and a AAA/CAA rating in the US of at least three diamonds. Best Western didn’t disclose details on when or where either brand will debut. |
