China’s investment abroad in the next 10 years is expected to reach 1.25 trillion U.S. dollars, President Xi Jinping said on Sunday.

According to statistics, six of the top ten destinations of China's outbound investment from 2005 to June 2014 have been the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) members, and the country's investments overseas have totaled more than 200 billion U.S. dollars in the nine and half years. China's investment abroad in the next 10 years is expected to reach 1.25 trillion U.S. dollars. In addition, China's import of goods is projected to exceed 10 trillion U.S. dollars while the number of outbound Chinese tourists will surpass 500 million in the next five years. China's economy will bring huge opportunities and benefits to the region and the world, said Xi in his speech at the CEO Summit of the ongoing APEC meetings.(Translation by Ella)
