Pending government approval, the Shanghai-based carrier will operate once-weekly on the Yangzhou-Jeju-Harbin and Harbin-Jeju-Shanghai Pudong routes. It also plans to fly twice-weekly on Harbin-Jeju-Yangzhou, Tianjin-Jeju-Yangzhou, Tianjin-Jeju-Shanghai Pudong and Shanghai Pudong-Jeju-Harbin routes.

Besides, the low-cost carrier is also seeking rights for thrice-weekly services on Yangzhou-Jeju-Tianjin Urumqi-Shijiazhuang-Jeju and Shijiazhuang-Jeju-Shijiazhuang-Urumqi routes.

The airline will deploy Airbus A320s on all above routes, the CAAC said.

Spring Airlines already flies to Jeju from Hangzhou, Harbin, Shanghai, Shijiazhuang and Tianjin.

The Air Transportation Department of CAAC is soliciting public comments on the application until June 22, 2016.
