Demand for air travel in China continues to rise, with the country’s aviation authorities reporting a double-digit increase in passenger numbers in 2015. Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou accounted for more than a quarter (27.3%) of total airport traffic, while the number of airports recording more than 10 million passenger movements increased to 26 million in 2015, compared to 24 million the previous year. By the end of 2015, there were 210 airports operating in China, eight more than at the end of 2014. |
