　　Shanghai, China, November 12, 2014 - It is a great pleasure to announce that Alex Han has taken up the new responsibility as General Manager of The Hongta Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Shanghai effective from November 10, 2014.

　　Affiliated with Starwood Hotels and Resorts since 1997, Alex has held an array of executive management positions within the company throughout a number of cities including Wuxi, Shenyang, Kunming, Chengdu, Suzhou and Jinan. Prior to this new assignment, Alex was the General Manager of Sheraton Changzhou Xinbei Hotel and prior to that, he was the General Manager of Sheraton Qiandao Lake Resort, which was the No.1000th Starwood hotel globally. In recognition of Alex’s outstanding performance, golden – olive award for China hotel industry 2014 has awarded him “2014 China’s top 10 General Manager”.

　　Alex firstly joined The St. Regis Shanghai (now The Hongta Hotel, Shanghai) in 2004 as Food and Beverage Manager, he ventured out to the opening team of Sheraton Suzhou Hotel & Towers (now Pan Pacific Suzhou Hotel) to pursuit his new career, where the Food and Beverage department gained “The team excellence” award issue by Starwood China regional office in 2006.
