In China, Disney is building a "Toy Story" hotel, in Dubai a South Seas Resort is planned and a Ferrari property including an amusement park is arising in Barcelona.

According to TOPHOTELPROJECTS, a provider of global B2B hotel data, more colorful and exuberant hotel worlds are arising worldwide. In China, Disney is building a "Toy Story" hotel, in Dubai a South Seas Resort is planned and a Ferrari property including an amusement park is arising in Barcelona.

Disney recently revealed concept art for a new Disney Resort in Shanghai. Part of that resort is a full Toy Story themed hotel. The art features a hotel with cloud covered walls mimicking the wallpaper in Andy's room. It also displays a gigantic Pixar Ball at the entrance. Guests who stay at the Toy Story Hotel will be transported to a world inspired by the toys from the Pixar animated film series, according to Disney.

The hotel is one of two new hotels there that includes a new park area called "Disneytown" which has numerous entertainment offerings, including a large theater with an adaptation of the musical "The Lion King" in Mandarin (Putonghua). Shopping malls, gardens and an artificial lake are also part of the development.

Near Dubai, a high end South Sea Resort is scheduled. The Lapita Hotel with 503 rooms is modeled after a Polynesian village on the Pacific. Investor Dubai Parks and Resorts plans to open in 2016. The South Seas Resort is a member of the Marriott brand Autograph Collection. It will be located between three theme parks - planned are the areas "Bollywood", "Legoland" and "Motion Gate". This major project is arising in Jebel Ali between the emirate metropolises Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

And in Europe, close to Barcelona, a Formula 1 theme park Ferrari Land” (75,000 square feet) will open in 2016, which will feature world's first five-star hotel (250 rooms) by the precious car forge. Invest Industrial and KKR are investing a total of approximately 100 million euros in the project. The first "Ferrari World" opened in late 2010 in Abu Dhabi in the United Arabian Emirates.
