　　After studying food technology in Stafford College UK, Mr. Beresford started his career in London in the hospitality industry. For the last 30 years he has worked as a General Manager with experience with international hotel groups as, InterContinental, Marco Polo, Accor, Peninsula Group HK, Pan Pacific in Asia, Europe & Middle East, with many proud achievements. John started his career in China in 1997 with Accor at the Novotel Hefei pre-opening in 1997.

　　Joining Starwood in 2014 at The Westin Hefei Boahe John is transferring to The Azure Qiantang, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hangzhou bringing with him a wealth of management experience from a multi-culture background with a keen focus dedicated towards service and creativity. Prior to joining Starwood Mr. Beresford was the China Area General Manager for IHG based in Liaoning, Area General Manager of Pan Pacific Hotel & Resorts Group based in Suzhou and General Manager of Marco Polo’s Flagship Hotel in Wuhan. John’s talent for people management and local community efforts will no doubt create outstanding achievements, high-end service quality and an abundance of experiences to share with his outstanding team.
