The 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand will be marked in 2015.The magazine NowTravelAsia and its official website are the Asian leading bi-monthly tourism magazine and website in English. The movie Lost In Thailand was very popular in China. Thailand has become one of the top destinations for Chinese tourists. According to incomplete statistics, Thailand has received 4.7 million Chinese tourists, up 60 % from a year earlier. Thailand waived visa fees for tourist visa applicants from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan from August 2014 to boost tourism. The initiative lasted for three months. With the 40th anniversary of Thai-Sino relations in 2015, Tourism Authority of Thailand expects that more Chinese media can report Thailand to promote Thai-Sino cultural exchange.
