Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya hotel in the Russian capital. The property marks the entry of the St. Regis brand in Russia and is located on Nikolskaya Street, which connects Lubyanka Square and Red Square. It is close to the Duma (Russia’s parliament) and major business hubs as well as commercial and governmental buildings and is also within walking distance from historic attractions and sites, including the Kremlin and Bolshoi Theatre. Originally built in the 1870s as the residence of Count Orlov-Davydov, the hotel offers 210 guest rooms and suites with belle époque interiors. A private rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Kremlin is available for intimate gatherings and functions and can host 28 conference-style or 150 for receptions. In addition, the hotel features one ballroom and four meeting rooms all with natural light, the largest space catering for 170-theatre-style. A 1,600sqm spa is also available and two new dining experiences helmed by Michelin-starred chef Kamel Benmamar will open in June. |
