The 313-key property features Chinese contemporary art. A calligraphic piece called “Landscape of Desires” by Qin Feng hangs in the skylit central atrium. Four Seasons Hotel Beijing has two restaurants and three lounges, all overseen by Executive Chef Martin Knaubert and his team. Cai Yi Xuan has a menu of Cantonese fare with a focus on the Shanghai-Hangzhou region; Tony Lu helped created the menu of dim sum, dumplings, pancakes and local specialties. In addition to the sunlit formal dining room, Cai Yi Xuan offers eight private dining rooms. The Italian restaurant, Mio, has an open kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven. Opus Lounge serves afternoon tea in a two-story space just off the lobby, while Opus Bar’s offerings include a signature, jasmine-scented cocktail called the Opus 1. In the Tea Garden, 400 polished and powder-coated stainless steel butterflies by Australian artist Jayne Dyer rise up a wall to a skylight. The Spa at Four Seasons has 11 treatment pavilions with a team of therapists led by Spa Director Fay Sirisopa.
