Spain-based Melia Hotels International and China-based Greenland Group have formed a development partnership whose first project is a Greenland-branded hotel in Germany.

　　Spain-based Melia Hotels International and China-based Greenland Group have formed a development partnership whose first project is a Greenland-branded hotel in Germany.

　　A Melia hotel in Frankfurt will convert to the Greenland brand. Greenland and Melia chose that location because of the hotel attracts many business travelers.

　　Melia will use the partnership to further its growth in China. Melia has been operating in China since opening the Grand Melia Shanghai in 2010 and is building hotels in Xian and Chongqing.
