Starwood Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Delargy as General Manager of The Westin Nanjing, the first Westin branded property in Jiangsu Province and conveniently located in the heart of Nanjing city. A native of Ireland, Mr. Delargy has over 15 years’ experiences within Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. He began his Asia career as part of the opening team for the Hilton Nanjing in 1997, before managing various projects around Africa and the Middle East for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. His final IT role was based in Singapore as Vice-President IT, for Asia Pacific. Mr. Delargy returned to Hotel Operations in 2008, working at Sheraton Macao and Sheraton Royal Orchid in Bangkok. With outstanding operational experience, he joins The Westin Nanjing from Thailand, where he held the role of General Manager at Sheraton Pattaya Resort Thailand. “I am delighted to be back in Nanjing, fifteen years after I first began my Asia Pacific career in this wonderful city.” said Mr. Delargy, “I am very proud to be joining the team at the outstanding The Westin Nanjing, and I look forward to working successfully with everyone to provide uplifting experiences for our guests, and to be an important part of our local community.” Possessing a vast knowledge and extensive background in hospitality management, Mr. Delargy’s qualifications and expertise in the hospitality arena will continue to position The Westin Nanjing in the forefront of Nanjing market!
