Created in partnership with Jose Garces, who appears on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” and serves as chef at Mercat a la Planxa inside the Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel, the cocktails will be available at participating Renaissance properties during Mother’s Day weekend.
Little Havana Verde, inspired by Miami Specific cocktails include the Little Havana Verde, inspired by Miami and featuring cucumber vodka and green vegetable juice and garnished with crudité.
Puerto Maria, inspired by San Juan, Puerto Rico The Puerto Maria is inspired by San Juan, Puerto Rico, and includes rum and Puerto Rican-style sofrito and is garnished with a fried plantain chip and chicharrones. Among the other cocktails is the Bloody Pearl from Hong Kong with gin, Chinese black vinegar, Chinese hot sauce and toasted ground caraway seeds; Fisherman’s Blood from San Francisco with horseradish vodka, Clamato and Tabasco; and the Al Fresca Mary from Tuscany with peppered vodka, strawberry tomato juice and balsamic syrup and garnished with a strawberry and a pepperoncini. Average menu price for the cocktails is US$12. |
