Marriott Hotels & Resorts Names Grey New York As Agency of Record

Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) announced it has chosen Grey New York as the agency of record for the company’s flagship Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand.

  Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) announced it has chosen Grey New York as the agency of record for the company’s flagship Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand.

  Grey will support public relations for the brand as it transforms for the next generation travelers. The choice of Grey New York also represents an expanded role for Grey which was named the brand’s advertising agency of record in September 2012.

  “We chose Grey for its expertise in integrated consumer brand marketing that will help us amplify the innovations Marriott is bringing to market to appeal to Gen X and Gen Y travelers,” said John Wolf, vice president, Global Brand Public Relations, Marriott International. “We were impressed by Grey’s passion, creativity and best-in-class PR practices to maximize the buzz factor across business and lifestyle media.”

  Grey is one of the few marketing communications organizations in the nation that has a full-service public relations and activation team embedded directly in the agency. The practice was built from the ground-up and plays a vital role in Grey’s mantra, creating “Famously Effective” work.

  Marriott Hotels & Resorts is transforming the guest experience for next generation travelers who blend work and play, demand style and design and rely on high technology to live their lives. The brand’s industry-leading Greatroom creates a seamless experience merging modern, stylish design and comfort, with greater access to food and beverage, and technology. Working with its partners IDEO and Steelcase, Marriott is introducing new meetings concepts, such as purpose-built spaces for smaller collaborative meetings – called Workspring. Workspace on Demand offers guests and the local community the ability to book flexible spaces in its lobbies using a smartphone as work becomes more mobile and social.
