Henry Lee has been appointed as general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao. Prior to coming to Qingdao, Mr. Lee was general manager at Esda Shangri-La, Manila, a position he assumed in July 2011. Mr. Lee has more than 25 years of hotel management experience and has worked with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for more than 18 years. His assignments have included a variety of positions, including at the general manager level, at Shangri-La hotels in mainland China, Myanmar, the Philippines and Malaysia. While with Shangri-La Hotel, Xian, Mr. Lee gained recognition for managing Shangri-La’s best marketing team and for most improved revenue per available room (RevPAR) in 2009. He was recognized as one of the top 10 general managers in China in 2008 and one of the top 10 leading hoteliers in 2009 in China’s Starlight Hotel Awards. A native of Singapore, Mr. Lee has a strong ability to define clearly business strategies while building valuable partnerships across all audiences, and he has a great passion for training and development, retaining talent and driving corporate social responsibility.(CN) |
