As a veteran international hotelier Mr. Büttgen has over 30-year extensive experience in London, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Jakarta.

　　Mr. Jan Büttgen was appointed as General Manager of Grand Millennium Beijing, effective from 13 May 2013.

　　As a veteran international hotelier Mr. Büttgen has over 30-year extensive experience in London, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Jakarta. Mr. Büttgen is fluent in German, English and French.

　　This appointment is Mr. Büttgen’s second in Beijing as he also was one of pre-opening management team members of the China World Hotel in 1990. Mr. Büttgen has held General Manager positions with Millennium Hotel Sirih Jakarta and Copthorne Hotel Penang. He also served in senior management positions (Vice President Hotel Operations) in Sun Cruises Pte. Ltd. and Star Cruises Pte. Ltd.

　　Prior to joining the Grand Millennium Beijing, Mr. Büttgen was the General Manager of Shanghai 88 Xintiandi, which under his leadership had transformed the hotel’s performance to one of the top boutique hotels in the city. Shanghai 88 Xintiandi has received many international awards since 2004.
