Following the launch of The Mira Hong Kong in 2009, a new boutique hotel is expected to launch in Hong Kong later this year.

　　Following the launch of The Mira Hong Kong in 2009, the Mira Moon is expected to welcome its first guests in the third quarter of 2013, with a contemporary design based on traditional Chinese mythology.

　　Located in the Wanchai area of the city, this harbourside hotel will feature 91 rooms, all with high-tech amenities such as HD LED TVs, Air Play music systems, iPad mini connectivity, iPod docking stations and free Wi-Fi. Rooms will also have free minibars and Nespresso coffee machines. Hotel facilities will include a 24-hour gym, business services, and a modern bar and restaurant concept called ‘Super Giant’.

　　Marcel Wanders, the Mira Moon’s interior designer, said the concept for the hotel was derived from the China’s famous Moon Festival fairytale.

　　“I’m an unabashed romantic and the Moon Festival is such a wonderful story. The Mira Moon interior gives new life to the tale – and importantly for me, introduces it to a new audience,” said Wanders.

　　The fairytale feel is reflected by a design features including traditional Chinese fabrics and prints, flower walls, tailored carpets and a ‘lucky charm’ feature wall in the lobby.
