　　The Himalayas Hotels & Communities appointed Mr. Sonny Ang as General Manager for the Himalayas Qingdao Hotel. The Himalayas Qingdao Hotel is the first lifestyle Hotel in Qingdao and is strategically located in the new exciting Lao Shan district.

　　Sonny is a seasoned hotelier with 25 years of hospitality experience in 5 countries that took him from Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila and Mainland China. Sonny started his career at The Peninsula Manila at the Front Office department and became the youngest Director of Sales & Marketing with Bass Hotels & Resorts at 28 years old. Sonny headed the China region for both Hilton International & the Jumeirah Group. With IHG, he headed Sales & Marketing for Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia & Maldives for all brands and with Four Seasons, he headed Thailand for both the Four Seasons Bangkok & the Four Seasons Chiang Mai.

　　Before joining Himalayas Hotels & Communities, Sonny was as Executive Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing for Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai & opened the first hotel of Jumeirah Group in Asia Pacific.
