Dual-branded Park Hyatt and Hyatt Regency properties launch in Changbai Mountains.

　　Hyatt has opened a new duel-branded hotel complex in northeast China’s Changbai Mountains – home to the country’s biggest ski resort.

　　The Park Hyatt Changbaishan and Hyatt Regency Changbaishan become the first Hyatt ski resorts to open outside the US and the company’s first dual-branded properties in China.

　　Located side-by-side in the Changbaishan International Resort development, these new resorts offer a total of 441 rooms and suites, plus a range of restaurants, leisure and spa facilities, meeting space and ski-in ski-out access.

　　Set in the mountains that span the border between China’s Jilin province and North Korea, Changbaishan offers 40km off ski slopes plus multiple leisure facilities including two major golf courses, one of which was designed by Jack Nicklaus.

　　Adding to these amenities, Park Hyatt Changbaishan offers 163 room and suites spread over 10 villas, plus two F&B outlets, a large spa with six treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor heated pools, a 24-hour gym and a Ski House offering direct access to the slopes.

　　Hyatt Regency Changbaishan meanwhile, is designed as a mountain lodge with wooden beams, stone floors and log fireplaces. Facilities at the 278-room resort include five F&B outlets (two of which are only open seasonally), a spa with six treatment rooms, pool, gym and Ski House.

　　The two properties also offer a wide range of conference and banqueting space, including a purpose-built Events Centre at the Park Hyatt and a large ballroom at the Hyatt Regency.

　　Hyatt becomes the latest international hotel company to launch in the Changbai Mountains. In 2012 Starwood opened dual-branded Sheraton and Westin properties in the area, while Wyndham’s Days Inn and IHG’s Holiday Inn brands also have a presence in the complex.
