The company, which already operates five brands including Radisson and Park Plaza, will beef up its brand portfolio in the coming years with the addition of ‘Radisson Red’ and the ‘Quorvus Collection’. Operating alongside the upscale Radisson and luxury Radisson Blu brands, Radisson Red will be a “lifestyle” brand focusing on technology and customer convenience. Guests will be able to check-in, order F&B and arrange airport transfers using a mobile app, while all guest rooms will come equipped with technology hubs. In the words of Carlson Rezidor; "everything will be designed from the customer’s perspective." The Quorvus Collection meanwhile, will be a "curated collection of luxury hotels", following the recent industry trend towards offering semi-branded designer hotel labels, similar to Accor’s MGallery or Marriott’s Autograph Collection. "Different by scale, architecture, ambiance and design, the future Quorvus portfolio will include historic landmark properties, contemporary residences, classic boutiques and urban retreats," the company explained. The Radisson Red brand will be rolled out in 2015, with simultaneous launches in cities in across the world. The Quorvus Collection meanwhile, is expected to announce its first members in the second quarter of 2014. Carlson Rezidor said it aims to have more than 60 Radisson Red hotels and 20 properties in the Quorvus Collection by 2020. These will add to the company’s existing portfolio of 1,345 hotels in 108 countries under its five brands: Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites. |
