The St. Regis Chengdu is pleased to announce Richard Deutl as General Manager of the hotel. A home-grown talent with nearly three decades of hospitality experience, Deutl leads The St. Regis Chengdu pre-opening team in preparation for the grand opening in July 2014.

　　The St. Regis Chengdu is pleased to announce Richard Deutl as General Manager of the hotel. A home-grown talent with nearly three decades of hospitality experience, Deutl leads The St. Regis Chengdu pre-opening team in preparation for the grand opening in July 2014. 

　　Mr. Deutl brings to The St. Regis Chengdu a distinguished resume with extensive experience opening new Starwood properties. Prior to The St. Regis Chengdu, Mr. Deutl served as General Manager of The Westin Nanjing where he was the lead for the successful pre-opening and opening. Under his leadership, the hotel entered the market by storm through aggressive sales & marketing strategies and delivering high-quality products and services that led to the hotel’s current market leadership position. Mr. Deutl successfully ensured that Starwood and Westin brand standards were met in all aspects of construction and operations.

　　Mr. Deutl also brings extensive experience at Starwood hotels around the world, making him uniquely qualified to meet the needs of the discerning international clientele served by The St. Regis. Mr. Deutl has gained more than 7 years of China experience and served as General Manager of the Sheraton Hotel in Tianjin and Wuxi. Prior to his transfer to China, he was General Manger of the Sheraton Metechi Palace in Georgia. Mr. Deutl has gained extensive hospitality experience in different roles within the Rooms Division. He first joined Starwood at Sheraton Innsbruck, Austria in 1988.
