IHG announced the recent appointment of Jayne O’Brien to the position of senior vice president of global brands, effective March 24. IHG announced the recent appointment of Jayne O’Brien to the position of senior vice president of global brands, effective March 24. O’Brien will be responsible for overseeing brand vision and strategy across IHG’s global portfolio of nine brands. Prior to joining IHG, Jayne served as chief marketing officer for Dubai Properties Group, a developer of destinations and districts across Dubai, United Arab Emirates. There she was responsible for all group marketing across the group, including brand management, public relations and customer relations. Previous to moving to Dubai, Jayne was the chief marketing officer for workplace solutions provider Regus Group. "We are thrilled to welcome Jayne to the IHG family. Her extensive knowledge in leading brands and marketing strategy across varied industries, her innovative approach rooted in insights, as well as her strong international experience, makes her an ideal addition to our global brand team,” said Keith Barr, chief commercial officer, IHG. Jayne graduated from London University with a degree in Serbo-Croat with Eastern European studies. She also spent time at Zagreb University, Croatia studying Croatian, as well as attending Ashridge Management College and Harvard Business School. Jayne will be based in IHG's Denham, England, global headquarters for her first six months on the job, after which she will transition to IHG's Atlanta office. |
