36Kr reported that RV rental and travel service platform Sofangche has raised millions of yuan in an angel round of financing. Hofan Ventures was the lead investor and TopoScend Capital also participated in the investment.

The company had earlier received millions of yuan as seed funding from Nanjiquan and individual investors.

Sofangche targets both business operators and individual customers.

The company works with tour operators and RV clubs, and has built partnerships with RV rental and travel companies in more than 60 cities in China, offering them standardized, low-cost operation with unified vehicle models and service process while empowering their services with quality travel products.

Sofangche has a team of professional travel planners who can help customers design, restructure and optimize tour routes, said Ms. Haiyan Liu, founder of Sofangche.

For individual customers, Sofangche provides RV rental and travel products through its WeChat mini program. With an average charge of RMB 2,000-3,000 for renting RVs and RMB 4,000-6,000 for booking a trip, it has attracted more than 10,000 users in 2017. The repurchase rate of the platform is also relatively high, with some users making four or five RV trips each year.

The proceeds raised will serve to upgrade backup systems, optimize industrial data, and explore destination development. Sofangche plans to become a leading service provider in the RV camping niche in China, and is already seeking another round of financing.
